I just updated my facebook status to: "Brandon Harrison is facebooking in the nude." Which is cool because it's another way of saying, "Brandon Harrison might be looking at pictures of you on the internet while he is naked. Okay?"

I have a 100% win record in Freecell on my girlfriend's laptop computer (13 out of 13 games). Chew on that.

I am most productive as I procrastinate.

As the real world is about to tear apart my previous notions of distance and continuity, I realized I should probably start updating this more as a means of communicating with a friend base that is largely spreading farther and farther apart.

I promise to try and be better about all this blogging. I also promise to try and focus on writing to a larger audience.

Big Trouble for Little Berg

Not only did Berg use my camera when he knows he is not allowed to, but he also filmed himself jumping off the top bunk on to pillows and the laundry basket.

Needless to say he is in enormous trouble.

Lo-Fi as Fuck

I tried do some recording tonight, but my microphone is broken. In true lo-fi fashion, I plugged my headphones into the mic jack and used the left ear-piece to record some acoustic riffs.

The melodies came easy, but the words, as usual, just wouldn't come.

Long Drives

There is something incredibly therapeutic about the open road. Driving fast and singing loudly out of tune to the Beatles makes long days and hard goodbyes a little bit easier.

I would love to drive out and surprise her, someday.

5 Reasons to Smile

These past few weeks, ever since she went back to Arizona, have been tough. But, even in the worst of times, it is hard not to realize how lucky I am when there are so many things that bring a smile to my face.

Here are a five things that have made me smile recently:

1. My roommate, John, and I were discussing the pros and cons of different fruit. I turned to John and asked him, "John, how do you feel about peaches?"

John gave me a puzzled look, paused, and replied, "I feel bitches need to learn to step."

Obviously I am not articulating well or John needs to clean his ears more often.

2. I woke up at 7:00am the other day to study for a midterm (that I did not actually have that day) and took a shower. After the shower I fell back asleep. When I woke up I had a mohawk.

3. Over the past few months, Sean has been developing an interesting relationship with the cashier at the Guad. Her name is Maritsa. And let's just say if Sean was a swinging single he would be in the door.

4. Freddie Mercury once said, "Bicycles are majestic creatures. Any man lucky enough to befriend one is truly blessed." I agree.

5. And the fifth reason to smile? The love of my life, of course.

Infractions on my watch...

I've always been the one to try and keep everyone happy. I don't know. That's just what I do. I can't be comfortable unless the people who matter are comfortable. I'm the relationship guy. I do my best to keep things going.

I just want to let everyone know that I am here. I just want to let you know that there is no such thing as loving too hard.

The Future in Jeopardy

I suppose days that start out the way mine started are bound to end up going downhill.

I received a voicemail message during Meteorology today. I checked it when I got out of class. It was some lady from UC Davis with "questions about your application blah blah blah." I immediately set into a panic and ran all the way back to the dorms.

When I got back I called her up. She had some concerns about the Math 1 course I took. She could not find the description in the course catalog. I found it for her and she discovered that it does not satisfy the necessary math requirements for the UCs. She also discovered that I am short 5 quarter units (4 semester units) of being eligible to apply to a UC.

Now I have to add a 3 unit Statistics class and a 1 unit PE class to bring my schedule to a grand total of 19 units.

But wait, it gets better.

I went to add a Stats class this evening and I found out from the Professor that I am not eligible to add the class because I have not taken the IAD Test. Now I have to go to the Math Department office and beg them to spare my life.

What a day.
